TO ALL THOSE TO BE CELEBRATED
A bowl is a useful gift. It's perfect for salads, popcorn or primroses. When not filled with goodies on the set festive table, it can spread joy with beautiful flowers.
No one has missed the Dahlia trend. In early spring the tubers come to life and later in the summer they burst into full splendor. Because the stems are relatively short, they are suitable for small vases or, as here, in a pretty bowl. The dahlia came to Europe as a food plant, but was not exactly a delicacy. Instead, it was the stunningly beautiful flowers that became popular - Napoleon's wife Joséphine Bonaparte was a devoted enthusiast. Swedish botanist Anders Dahl was one of Linnaeus' disciples and he is the one who named the plant group.
