Sthål is Susanna Theander and Helena Åkesson-Liedberg, based in Malmö, in southern Sweden bordering on Denmark.

We are stylists and graphic designers. We are also passionate about socialising, food and the way it is presented.

Privately and professionally we had trouble getting hold of trays, platters and bowls that in some sense stood out in style, shape or colour.

We were looking for stuff to complete a table set with ordinary dinnerware – the details to make the whole really shine. Slightly bohemian pottery for home use, private parties or bigger functions. As combinable with designer tableware sets as with home-made flea market assemblages.

Since we already did ceramics on the side, we started making the missing pieces ourselves. We hope you like their looks as much as we enjoyed making them.

The 2012 collection is now being manufactured, and the outlining of the 2013 collection has begun.
